Great Product... Go for it.....

Great Product for Small Bussiness.I have bought this product for our office with 15 systems. We had very much problem with irregualr internet. with the use of this device we combined 3 internet connections so we had a seemless internet. Apart from this we have blocked unwanted mobiles connected in the wifi network also Blocked certain websites like Torrentz Facebook etc. Which also helpful and avoids unnecessary usage of internet from mobile phones.Really it work fine for us. Really great product in affordable price range....
works well except needed to reboot it once a day
By A S Paranjapeon
The router worked well, but once a day, the router failed, and we had to restart it. After every restart it worked again. The failure was that the internet would not get "transferred" from the WAN side to the LAN side. So ordered for a replacement which I received superfast (24 hours before scheduled. I have setup the replacement router, will put feedback once I use it for a couple of days.
Great product for the price
Does a good job. One of the cheapest L/B routers around so, it may lack advanced functionality. But, so far, Policy Routing feature has given me exactly what I wanted. I wish Policy Routing and Link Backup would have worked in conjunction. As in, I want my laptop to go through the faster and more expensive broadband connection. I have that setup using policy routing. Everything else goes through slower broadband. If the faster one goes down, I wish Link Backup would kick in and route my laptop also through the slower network until the faster WAN came back up. That doesn't work. When Link Backup is enabled, it simply overrides all the Policy rules and routes traffic through the preferred WAN.

Using it for more than 6 months now. Load Balancing and failover works perfectly, but only if the ISP Network goes down. If ISP connection is active without internet (due to various issues like authentication problem), it doesn't failover to the other ISP.
Great solution to balancing bandwidth across multiple ISPs for reliability
By Ravi S.on
I bought this to balance two ISP connections - an ACT 20MbpsDn/20MbpsUp (fiber) and an Airtel 4MbpsDn/400KbpsUp (ADSL). The router is very easy to set up and can be set to work either in a bandwidth based balancing mode or a backup mode.
In the bandwidth based balancing mode, packets are routed in the ratio of the bandwidths served by upto four WAN links while in the failover mode packets are routed to the primary connection normally and to the secondary connection if the primary connection is disrupted. There is also an application-optimized routing option in the bandwidth-balancing mode that ensures that an application uses just one WAN link to prevent the far side from seeing packets from two different IPs. This is useful for some secure sites that will complain (or log you off) if they see packets coming from different IPs for a secure session.
There are also a host of other options to allow a set of IP addresses to route to a configured WAN, etc. A great buy if you use multiple ISPs for reliability and need to balance across them.
Edit 1: The main difference between the TL-R480T+ and TL-R470T+ is the number of concurrent sessions it can handle (30000 for the 480 vs 10000 for the 470). So essentially, the 480 comes with a beefier CPU that can handle more connections - so if you have a small-office setting with multiple computers that contend for bandwidth across the WAN, go for the 480. The 470 should suffice for most home uses.
Edit 2: Note that the router does not dynamically measure WAN bandwidth - rather, it relies on a static bandwidth setting and hardware monitoring of the connection to see if the link is in an "up" or "down" state.
Edit 3: I now have 3 different ISP connections balanced by this router and it's doing a fantastic job!
Edit 4: If you do a speedtest and you have the application-optimized routing option turned ON, you will see the speed of only ONE of the connections, depending upon which connection the router decided to choose at that particular moment.
If you have the application-optimized routing option turned OFF, you will sometimes see the speed of one connection and sometimes the sum of the speeds of multiple connections. This is because speedtest opens up upto 4 separate threads (sockets) for upload/download, and if the 4 threads happen to be assigned to different WANs by the router, you will see the sum of their speeds. However, depending upon the history of packet assignment and the assigned bandwidth, the router might decide to allocate different sockets to the same WAN link at that particular moment, in which case you'll see the speed of only one of the links which happened to be chosen.

I have configured to use 3 broad bands in this router. And, i didn't notice any problems until now. This replaced my old Cisco RV042 & i would say it's better than Cisco product. We can configure 4 WAN links.
Good features but questionable quality and support
-The features (ie Load balancing feature) works very well.
-It can add speeds of 2 or more internet connections to make it faster. (proper settings need to be done)
-The installation and setup takes 5 minutes for a pro and can take 30 minutes for some one new.
- The product worked perfectly for a month, but later one of the wan port stopped working.
- The support numbers are always busy/don't work.
- The items has to be shipped to their service station in Vasai for claiming warranty.
- I did not do it. I am now using another wan port as it is a harrowing experience and I cant get the Internet down.
Working fine and meeting our requirement. Let me give my final review after few more days with required load and ISP connections required. Config was little tough, but with the help of online training materials you can do easily.

Not good for load balancing. Use software for load balancing it is better than this.
