It is very much compatible with the Dell XPS m1530. Though it is not the same as the stock m1530's adapter, it does work better. The stock adapter had given away a long time back, and the laptop was lying in my trunk for more than 3 years. The stock one had very poor voltage regulation and allowed static charge to pass through the palmrest and other metallic parts. I never had realized that the old adapter was one of the main reasons for the excess heating of the laptop and the damage of the internal hard drives. Also, the laptop no longer recognized it as its original adapter, and the battery wouldn't get charged.However, this new adapter works flawlessly, charges the battery without any issue, and the best part is that the laptop no longer overheats during normal usage such as browsing, programming and no longer can I feel the static charge flowing through the palmrest. So, an 8-year old laptop is back to its working state.Note: The adapter's pin doesn't remain firm inside the laptop's charging port, it's slightly loose. So, keep this in mind while moving the laptop around. Also, the adapter doesn't come with a cable to connect it to the power socket. However, the cable from the old adapter works fine.I'd request Amazon to kindly upload the actual image of the product and also mention that no power cable is provided with the product.

Speedtech was selling this charger at 1300/- rupees. I thought it was a sweet discount over the others but trusting a new seller and the way flipkart would react afterwards was downright disturbing. Speedtech sent me a 90W block charger instead of a slim one. I proceeded to file for a return, trusting flipkart would soon pick it up and exchange it for a new one. But alas no such thing happened. The seller vanished, and flipkart responded that the only thing that could happen now would be to refund of my money. They said they would send a guy to pickup the charger. I even got an sms saying that a person will be coming today to pickup the package. That was 3 DAYS AGO!!! In the end I just had to go out and buy myself a powercord and use the same charger that I got instead. Trust on FLIPKART and new sellers here seriously shaken!!!
