Rice gets cooked properly and functiona normally. On the flip side, the rice goes below the cooking plate after cooking. So,the rice gets stuck to the vessel and it is difficult to clean.
Also,There is no keep warm Function nor any auto cook function. The summary of the product is wrong.I had a lot better experience with my black and decker cooker-no sticking and keep warm was present
Great product

Hi Friends,,
My Name is Kiran Kumar K. I'm from Vizag, A.P.
I purchased this product on June 22, 2012.
I got this cooker within 2 days with great packing. I dont know why other people didnt like this cooker.
One guy wrote that the rice is sticking to the cooker but it is not like that. According to me, if you pour proper water it won't stick.
Advantages:
1. 5 years warranty and 2 years guarentee.
2. Easy to clean.
3. Price is very cheap.
4. "No warm option" means automatically it will shut off. No more power consumption and rice will not get roasted. This one can be considered as an advantage.
Disadvantages:
1. The rice will be sufficient for four people only.
For bachealors, newly married couple and students this one is a awesome and wonderful product.
Inka mari aalochana voddu. No second thought. U can take it.
good product but ignore the cooking instructions in the manual. Seriously!

I have been using rice cookers for almost a decade now but this one is pretty complicated. If you try to follow the rice cooking instructions that is! The first two times I tried to do it by the book, and all I got was burnt rice. Then finally I decided that enough was enough and switched to cooking rice that way I have been always doing - wash and soak the rice for 20 mins, then put it in the vessel with the amount of water I think is right and not what that stupid manual said. The result? Well cooked rice just the way it should be. And yes, keep that damn plate aside. It's seriously no good.
A little burning always takes place

First of all this is a small cooker though its image might look the same size as its bigger counterparts, i.e. the 4 litre and bigger cookers. It is ideal for two, more than sufficient for one. However there are issues. Here are results from my first three cooking sessions. For Session 1 & 2 I used slightly old Boiled Rice. Session 1 - went by the manual. For 1 glass of rice, used 2.25 glass of water, washed rice clean (washing it thrice till water became clear), used the perforated disc, soaked for 30 min. Results - Cooker took 30 minutes to cook. While cooking the lid literally floats on the steam. Steam also passes out from the sides of the lid and even drips outside of the cooker. Waited another 15 minutes as per manual. Rice was cooked perfectly but below the disc was a thin film of burnt starch. Session 2 - Did not use the disc but same process as 1. Results were the same but a smaller layer of burnt starch. Session 3 - Used Fresh Biriyani rice, cleaned, used Half a glass rice, 1.25 glass of water, soaked for 30 min, cooked without disc. Result - Cooked for 17 minutes, plus 15 minutes waiting after cooking. Steam issues were the same. A smaller film of burnt starch. Rice was cooked well but was sticky. So I am not sure if this little starchy liquid burning is common to all electric cookers but I wonder why it takes such a long time for the cooking. I could avoid the soaking or the 15 minutes of waiting after the cooking but that's for another session. 3.5 stars.
